Package design for tea. Puritea is a tea brand that is all natural and comes in many different flavors. Inspiration comes from my newly acquired quest for good tea.
Concept - Design a package that visually stands out on the shelf and really shows that it’s natural. By using textured paper, you are attracted to the boldness and ease of connection to knowing what you’re getting.
Design for a ramen restaurant. Oishi Ramen is a locally owned ramen restaurant that is about simplicity and fun. Inspiration came from my travel to South Korea.
Concept - To create a simple menu design that is easy to read and would allow the consumer to create their own ramen in just a few simple steps. Menu printed on linen paper to carry through the oriental experience. Provided a fun environment by adding illustrations and a tag line that makes you chuckle.
Ad design for a vodka bottle. Krisp is a vodka company that reaches out to women in a whole new way, while staying stylish, modern, and upscale. Inspiration comes from liquor displays in the Austin nightlife.
Concept - Vodka targeted towards women that you would see in a more upper-class nightlife environment. With visually captivating geometric patterns and poppy colors, this would be a top seller among women.
Redesign for Outdoor Photography magazine. Inspiration came from browsing photography magazines, while visiting bookstores.
Concept - Create a magazine the user is drawn to. Big, bold images that easily catch the eye and captivating stories, help to create an enjoyable experience for the consumer.
Redesign for the book Crank by Ellen Hopkins. This book is about a girl who visits her dad on vacation, but finds out he’s not the father she hoped for. Consequently, she takes the wrong path and finds out her life is going to change for the worse when she gives in to doing drugs. Inspiration came from one of my favorite authors as an adolescent.
Concept - Design a cover that symbolizes losing yourself without being too straightforward. Creating visual empty space with black and white photography to convey a sense of emptiness. Targeted towards a more mature audience.
Event multimedia design for Nocturnal Namaste. Nocturnal Namaste is a yoga event held in Zilker Park every year for a fun experience Austinites can call their own. Inspiration was drawn from “Keeping Austin weird!”
Concept - Bring in the activities and culture that yoga thrives in, while bringing a new twist to it.
Redesign for a crystal shop called Crystal Works. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, this is a relaxing and very informative place for anyone with this interest or hobby. Inspiration came from my first weekend window shopping in Austin.
Concept - Clean, sharp design while making it obvious to the eye what it is, but with uniqueness in mind. The goal is to capture the raw, tactile senses of picking up a crystal. The experience is very earthy and modern.
Redesign on a sushi restaurant menu display. Inspiration came from my facination and love for eating sushi.
Concept - Make it an interesting and unique experience to eat sushi. Presenting a plank of wood with two sides. Side one provides a menu and side two provides the company logo and a serving surface for your order.
